  1. I am new to wigs, what’s the difference between a closure and a frontal?

A: A closure comes in sizes 4x4, 5x5, 6x6 or 7x7. They require less maintenance than frontals and are more beginner friendly. This is my recommendation for new wig wearers. Frontals are 13x4 or 13x6, they cover “ear to ear” and can be more high maintenance. However, they provide more space for diversity when it comes to styling.

 

  1. How long does Tailored Wigs Units last?

A: Our Virgin hair used for the units are TOP QUALITY, with the proper care Tailored Wigs units last 2 years+. This includes washing, conditioning, carefully detangling the unit as needed. All units should be handled with care for long-lasting results. Closures and Frontals experience normal shedding overtime, however they can be replaced.

 

  1. Is the hair used 100% Virgin Hair?

A: Yes, all hair extensions are 100% Virgin Hair. The hair can be colored, flat ironed, curled, etc. The hair can be altered to your liking as far as styling.

 

  1. Does the hair shed?

A: ALL hair that has been manufactured to be stitched on a weft will experience minimum shedding which is absolutely normal. However, proper care and maintenance is strongly encouraged.

 

  1. How do I maintain my Tailored Wigs unit?

A: Be gentle with your unit, we recommend washing your units with sulfate free products and let your unit air dry.

 

  1. Are Tailored Wigs units glueless?

A: YES! ALL units have been constructed with an adjustable elastic band for a perfect fit.

 

  1. How do I properly measure my head for a Tailored Wigs unit?

A: The most important measurement when Tailoring your unit is your head circumference. Please refer to the size guide below:

 

  1. What’s the average head circumference?

A: The average head size is 22-22.5”

 

  1. Can the hair be bleached?

A: Yes this hair can be bleached, if you're not familiar with the proper bleaching steps, we recommend taking the unit to a professional for bleaching to avoid over processing the hair.

 

  1. What products can I use on my Tailored Wigs Units?

A: These are some products that we highly recommend using when caring for your unit:

  1. If I provide my own bundles for BYOB services, how many bundles will I need?

A: For inches 10’-16’ we recommend 2-3 bundles, 18’-24’ we recommend 3-4 bundles, 26’-40’ we recommend 4-5 bundles.

  1. How long will it take for my Tailored Wigs unit to be completed?

A: Ready to ship units are wigs that are already customized and styled and ready to wear using our top quality Virgin hair, these wigs are on hand and will ship within 3 business days. Tailored Wigs units are wigs that are tailored specially to the client, that’s why correct head measurements are key! These units take 7-14 business days for the unit to be processed and completed. Please note, we are tailoring this unit specially to you, so patience is key.

 

  1. What's the shipping time frame?

A: Ready to ship units take about 1-3 business days for processing payments and 3-5 business days for shipping, please refer to email for tracking numbers. Tailored Wigs units can be anywhere from 7-21 business days this includes processing and shipping (This is the current timeframe due to the COVID-19 pandemic) once the unit has shipped, please refer to your email for tracking information.

 

  1. Does Tailored Wigs By Taylor J offer rush shipping on orders?

A: NO, we do not accept rush orders AT ALL. All orders will be handled accordingly, in which order they've been received.
